Personal History		Arlo grew up on the Federation dilithium mining world of New Babylon on the border to the Cardassian Union, to his mother Sarah who was the mining supervisor, and spent most of her adult life working in mines throughout the galaxy and George who had been married four times (his 4th to Sarah) and never held down a job because he often got fired due to his poor work ethics, he loved spending time with friends who abused their friendship with George, having him buy the group alcohol or trips to the gambling zone. And his twin brother Myylo, he & Arlo love playing running games, running through the rosy red grass of their tiny mining village of Rose. The world was caught up in the Federation-Cardassian border war, as it was classified as a "strategic world" cause of the ongoing dilithium mining, there was a Federation garrison but after a few months of warfare they retreated, Cardassians took their place and then the Federation would assault the world again. It was a revolving door of ownership. The Garrison were low-level officers, who didn't want to be there and the miners didn't fight back, there was no point as they were being treated fairly. Myylo & Arlo would play games of football with them after school. By the age of 12, a white peace was drawn up. New Babylon would fall into the Cardassian side of the "demilitarized zone". As such, a ship was dispatched to collect the Federation's citizens and drop them off at another Federation world. As young boys Myylo & Arlo didn't really understand why because of the friendly relationships with the Cardassians. The family was dropped off on Gorkil III and was placed into a refugee camp called "Belax 3A." It was merely a place for a family to await other members of their family before arranging transport to another Federation World. The twins attended school and still ran through the grasses though it wasn't the same as their home planet of New Babylon. The Valentine family lived out of a trailer on Gorkil III, the extended family died out long ago and there wasn't enough saved to buy tickets for a transport shuttle out of the outer rim, George couldn't get a job because of his bad references and Sarah got work in a local bar as a waiter, with his years of experience as a supervisor she tried to best for an assistant manager career but was unsuccessful. George's addiction to booze and gambling brought on by his "friends" drove the family to bankruptcy and the days without food would be long. Myylo & Arlo worked odd jobs, washing hover cars and painting fences to add money to the pot to afford basic amenities. At school Arlo joined the photography club while Myylo took part in the book club, the family didn't have money to afford a camera but the school was able to lend one, it brought so much joy to his life. In 2370, the school got a new Principal and with it new rules, the school had issued ID Cards to staff and students and it was the photography club role to take photos and print the IDs. It gave Arlo an idea, make fake IDs and sell them to students, it would be nice to take a holiday not a big one just a small weekend away. He didn't tell anyone expect the popular kids who bought fake driving licences from him... The increased money in the pot was noticed but Arlo said it was tips and hard work meanwhile Myylo knew it wasn't that because the tips didn't add up to hundreds of credits. Next year, a student got caught and coughed up and Arlo was arrested, the family couldn't make bail. The ground at the trailer park shuddered and homes sunk, thankfully theirs survived but with huge damage which needed every saving. It was scary being in the Planetwide jail though he was in the young offenders section, it still had people in their early 20s who were pirates and done much worse than make and sell fake IDs. There wasn't enough money for a lawyer either so a free public offender who showed up to the pre-trial once and never showed her Deltan head again. Mum had to work, dad was either drunk or in a drunk coma and Myylo walked to the overside of the planet to see Arlo at the last weekend of the month with a letter from mum. Arlo pleaded guilty and accepted his fate. Being in a penal colony was like a summer camp. There were group sessions where you just talked, worked on anger management or life skills like cooking. He made friends at the penal colony not much his age but he befriended a pirate and somebody who murdered their girlfriend because they were a control freak. He felt like he great progress and applied for parole... When he got the letter back it didn't anger him it just encouraged him to work on himself. Then the war came to Calypso...
